The title and decision logic are not explicit that Ethereum and Bitcoin have already reached 100b and are not included in the total.

Decision Logic

This will use https://coinmarketcap.com/. If the market cap of any coin reaches the 100 billion at any point in 2018 then it will be added to the tally. Bets are time weighted. Bidding ends one month before 2019.

Just to clarify further as per our edit earlier in the year; only additional coins are included in the tally. XRP started at 100B around Jan 4-8th before dropping to 95B and never rising above 100B again. As it was *already* at 100B in 2018 when the prop was created, it is *not* included in the tally. Only new/additional coins that have not previously reached 100B were to be included, and no coins matched that definition. We simply missed XRP in the admin edit when we mentioned BTC and ETH.

@sirlanka - XRP reached 100B then went back below 100B (and never back up again) all before the proposition was created on Jan 20th. Apologies for the confusion for the hosts, and our, wording. No new coins reached 100B since Jan 20th. It has truly been a bad year for cryptocurrencies in general.

@sirlanka you have a point however the proposition does in fact only count additional coins otherwise it would have been resolved immediately when it was started as you are correct - XRP was also over 100B before Jan 20th ("in 2018").

It is described that the bet is only on "additional" coins that hit the 100b mark. Eth and Btc are omitted and not counted in the tally. Hope that clears things up and makes for a fair wage.
