Description

The upcoming US presidential election is likely to be the ugliest election in US history. There are already accusations that both sides are tampering with voting in order to secure more votes making it unlikely that there will be a clear winner on election night.

Decision Logic

This bet will be true if neither side has officially conceeded by giving a concession speech by 12:00am Saturday, November 7th, eastern standard time. In the event that there is no concession speech, a senior member of the winning party's admission of defeat will also be accepted as a concession.

In the event that the US presidential election is postponed or cancelled, this bet will also be true.

That being said, I don't have high hopes of winning this bet. It is clear that it will likely be contested. I just want a fair shot at it and the 3 day period when the loser is expected to make a concession speech. It is a bet on if it will be contested, after all, and not if the results will be known on election night.

As you are being asked to solve this bet now, I feel like I should say something. This shouldn't be resolved until the results are known, and the winner has had 3 days to make a concession speech, to keep in line with the decision logic ( in the case of this bet Nov. 4 12 AM EST - Nov. 7 12 AM EST). The results are delayed because of the counting so it wouldn't be fair to resolve this as no one should be making a concession speech at this point in time.
