Tokyo 2021 : Will it happen?

2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo were pushed back to 2021.
But with COVID19 still raging could it get pushed back again? or even cancelled?

• A third coronavirus strain was found in Japan, in 4 arrivals from Brazil (01/21).

• UK bans South America and Portugal arrivals over Brazil variant (01/21).

• 1/21 The new Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide declared a state of emergency for Tokyo & surrounding areas. A week later he added 7 more prefectures. He again promised the postponed Tokyo Olympics would be “safe and secure” & tried to disconnect the state of emergency from the fate of the games.

Tokyo Olympics Cancelled: Tokyo loses it's place to host .

Pushed back second time: Tokyo Olympics get pushed back again.

Games are a GO! : Tokyo 2021 is on at normal level OR scaled down.
