This market will allow betting through election day and in the days after as more results come in, and will only resolve after the winner is clear beyond any reasonable doubt.
Decision Logic
Will Donald Trump be the winner of the 2020 U.S. presidential general election? Yes means he will, no means he will not. No means he will not win reelection for any reason, such as death or resignation. I reserve the right to wait for further official, party, judicial or other relevant announcements, reports or decisions to resolve any ambiguity or uncertainty before the market is settled. Early resolution of this market is possible if the final result is known sooner than the betting deadline.

@AHamilton lol the decision logic on that bet is technically what this should have been, except this prop was created WAY earlier, and your logic here already states "resolve any ambiguity or uncertainty before the market is settled", that prop just has a date and is very new, but for example "Lawmakers object on January 6th" is technically already included in THIS prop's logic

@Avalon perhaps you should add to the FAQ that Discussion doesn't dictate the Decision Logic, if it's not clear to everyone yet. The FAQ clearly does state how Decision Logic can be edited (and it's not by commenting!), but perhaps that's not enough for everyone?

logic clearly states: "I reserve the right to wait for further official, party, judicial or other relevant announcements, reports or decisions to resolve any ambiguity or uncertainty before the market is settled." ... events are constantly changing, news comes out, audits are done, investigations, new testimony etc with a bet like this it takes time to find out the true result, therefore it's justified postponing the resolution depending on events, IMO

@Avalon please note some government officials are now calling on VP Mike Pence to postpone the counting of the Electoral College votes until after 1/6. If that were to happen, given the conflicting EC votes in the swing states, I would assume it would fall under your reasons for valid postponement of the bet deadline. Extension until the only presidential election deadline appearing in the Constitution, and the rightful deadline for this bet to begin with, 1/20, is logical. Please confirm?

Presumably that means you will extend the deadline if that happens. I hope you would also extend the deadline if an avenue you currently DO NOT SEE of a delayed outcome presents itself. Because it's very possible that it does.

Finally, the only avenue we currently see of a delayed outcome is if there is an issue with the joint session of congress on Jan 6th, whether due to martial law or some other valid postponement. There *is* still a chance of this, hence why we are one of the only holdouts that are even offering the ability to wager on this. If however, all goes smoothly, then it is done and all future wagers can be on another prop on whether Trump will remain in power on X date, not this one (election result).

In addition, we have on multiple occasions clarified that we will resolve this on Jan 6/7th as per the timeline. We do not see any inconsistencies with regards to the spirit of this prop, nor what is written in the logic. This is an "extended" bet because Biden's victory was called in November. The EC vote certification is the final step in an election result. How or when an elected president gets inaugurated is not relevant as to who "won" or "lost" an election.

If Biden wins the election via the official electoral college vote, Trump has "Not" won the election, and we can say that without reasonable doubt. There is nothing to reasonably suggest that Trump could win the Election after that. Theres been nothing to reasonably suggest Trump had any chance to overturn anything for almost 2 months now. There has been no reasonable doubt for months, but the 7th is the perfect opportunity for outcome because we will actually have an official winner.

This resolve date SHOULD be extended to Constitutional date of the 20th when we ACTUALLY see results. There will be lots of evidence presented on the 6th from military intelligence, many already covered on NTD. Once objections start with 2 hour per objection, and the rally happening, this can easily roll past the 7th
