This market will allow betting through election day and in the days after as more results come in, and will only resolve after the winner is clear beyond any reasonable doubt.
Decision Logic
Will Donald Trump be the winner of the 2020 U.S. presidential general election? Yes means he will, no means he will not. No means he will not win reelection for any reason, such as death or resignation. I reserve the right to wait for further official, party, judicial or other relevant announcements, reports or decisions to resolve any ambiguity or uncertainty before the market is settled. Early resolution of this market is possible if the final result is known sooner than the betting deadline.

Mr. @AHamilton is trying to make us believe that Trump has no chances after the 6th if EC votes are against him and argues that this is sufficient reason to settle the bet. If that is true, the odds ratio offered on this site should drop to zero should this event occur. If the odds ratio do not drop to zero, then by definition, the market would assign different odds than Mr. @AHamilton 's personal estimation of such. Is Mr @AHamilton smarter than the combined intelligence of the entire market?

@Andyzzle Well said. Betmoose can easily correct this. All they have to say is something along the lines of "We initially anticipated that an EC votes against Trump on the 6th would be final, but since then new information, notably in the form of H.Amdt. 833 (Escobar) to H.R. 6395, makes it clear that options will be available to Trump after the 6th. Therefore, in the interest of caution and fairness of the bet, we will extend the settlement date to the 20th after political power transfer."

One would assume that you're smart enough to realize that you need both sides for bets like these to happen and that it's in your own best interest to not resolve prematurely or make users feel like they got screwed over. Good luck getting any significant betting volume going if the bettors decide not to trust this site with their crypto anymore and if no new players join the site because of ****ty Betmoose-review threads in forums. Us gambling here is a two way street. Always has been.

I'm willing to bet that one negative review that points out unaddressed conflict of interests and wishy washy decision logic flip flopping outweighs ten positive reviews. And if people get the idea that they don't get their fair shot then good luck betting against yourselves to those that remain. It's also another reason why I don't get morons like @jblndsl's behavior towards yes-voters. The only reason you get to make money is because we're willing to bet our money on unfavorable scenarios.

In that case the only recourse to this is to write down your experience with Betmoose and to post it on different crypto and gambling forums as well as their bitcointalk thread so that people know what to expect before they trust this site with their funds. It's a rather small site and i'm willing to bet that everyone who bets here first googles whether the site is legit or not.

I'll say this though - had I realized beforehand that it's less about the decision logic and more about someone's subjective interpretation of it (i.e. deadline taking priority over thr actual decision logic) then I'd never have bet on here. I'd rather have gone with Betfair and lost money on there because at least I'd have known what I'm actually betting on. To me the way these bets are being run seems like they give the bet host too much wiggle room for interpretation which obviously...

@888 there is no guarantee that Moderators won't resolve early or that Admins won't interpret the decision logic differently than those who bet on yes do. The decision logic leaves room for interpretation in both directions and contradicting statements by the bet host just make that problem worse.
I think this issue would resolve itself if the bet gets called on inauguration day when the winner really is clear and both sides accept the result as final.

For the record, I will state that even congress finds the treat of marital-law/insurrection-act credible enough to try to sneak-in a ban on it into the latest stimulus bill. If congress thinks the treaty is credible enough to sneak that in, I don't see how Mr. @AHamilton can credibly claim that it's not a threat. Specifically at H.Amdt. 833 (Escobar) to H.R. 6395 : "To require certifications be made to Congress when the President deploys active duty military within the United States".

This bet cannot resolve beyond a clear and reasonable doubt before inauguration, with the variables at play. There is going to be reasonable doubt all the way up to inauguration. If this bet is terminated early, then it will be challenged.

Literally all the fraud that has been uncovered has been for Trump (source: the Internet). So even if the effects of cheating was annulled, the only thing that would change is that Trump would lose even more. The propaganda y'all have been seeing is from Trump, who is now very busy doing three things: ignoring covid-19 (3000 deaths daily!), getting more money from idiots donating to his personal fund and pardoning his criminal friends. Perhaps Biden oughta do Operation Neptune Spear 2 on Trump.

@betterment There is no official winner. Media doesn't call elections. Are you really gullible enough to believe CNN has the power to call an election? At lest in Russia, China... they know the "media" is propaganda. This election cannot be determined with so many wild card variables at play, including the insurrection act, and military tribunals, until post inauguration. As long as those are a potential (and they very much are), there is reasonable doubt.

The only way this bet is determined " clear beyond any reasonable doubt" is post inauguration. There are plenty of variables between the 6th and the 20th that could keep Trump in office. Betters here aren't going to tolerate early termination of this bet, period, end of story!

It wont matter if this ends on 1/6, although it should extend until 1/20. Trump will get the required electoral votes on this day because he was the true winner and he has many tricks up his sleeve. Even Biden supporters know he didn't really win. It's mathematically impossible. Do some research that isn't on mainstream media, which is clearly biased. It doesn't take a genius to see how corrupt our political system has become. We will see who is right after 1/6. Until then, its all just noise.
