Decision Logic

Will Donald Trump be the winner of the 2020 U.S. presidential general election? Yes means he will, no means he will not. No means he will not win reelection for any reason, such as death or resignation. I reserve the right to wait for further official, party, judicial or other relevant announcements, reports or decisions to resolve any ambiguity or uncertainty before the market is settled. Early resolution of this market is possible if the final result is known sooner than the betting deadline.

Yes, Andyzzle is right and atmosphere isn't. There's nothing to calculate, nothing changes. When you put your bet it is locked in. That's what fixed odds is. The only thing that changes is the offers (like how market offers change on a crypto exchange), but that has no effect on past bets which, as I said, have been locked in.

@atmosphere I think you're getting things mixed up. This is a fixed odds bet - there's nothing to calculate. You bet against another person's odds and win whatever it showed you when you placed the bet. Classic Fixed odds bets (=only Yes/No options) show the red/green bar whereas multi-option bets show differently colored option. If you wanna test your formula, test it on this here because this is a parimutuel bet: "Biden Will Win 2020 Election".

@tecladoreal It seems like SCOTUS will pick up the Texas case and that the Pennsylvania/Kelly case got tossed because it's covered by the former's larger scope anyway. With almost 28BTC of backed volume riding on this bet I don't think it'll resolve prematurely so if it's still not clear by Jan 7th it'll most likely be extended. Decision logic clearly states 'final result' after all.

@AHamilton – @atmosphere is absolutely correct that the Electoral College vote is NOT the final decision arbiter, rather it is the U.S. Congress who must approve this decision on the 6th, and even then other legal challenges and Presidential actions may delay the result. This Trump prop has the buckets... Thank God. I don't see how they manage to get these odds with so many fewer Bitcoins betting that Trump will lose - it seems it would be the other way around. Regardless, I do wish I'd gotten the 10:1 odds.

Both of the current payouts you listed in your first comment are blatantly wrong. $100 on 'Yes' will pay out $620 before fees and $100 on 'No' will pay out $106 (these are both before fees). I don't know why you wish to use USD values on a bitcoin site, but I can do that too to at least explain to people like hippoturd that you don't know what you are talking about.

HMMM.. I hope everyone is aware of something! I carefully calculated all of the betting data in an Excel spreadsheet and this is what I found. My "yes" bet of $318 had an expected payout of $2504 at the time it was placed. Guess what? That $318 now has a payout of only $490! Then! Consider how a "no" bet of $512 currently has a payout of $2677! Before you tell me to read how parimutuel bets work, tell me WHY this proposition is STILL estimating a $318 bet "yes" to payout $1976?!

Trump could declare activation of the US Insurrection Act of 1807 (even after any Supreme Court decision), then either hold new elections or simply declare the Biden votes to be fraudulent and invalid.
