U.S. Presidential Election Winner 2020

U.S. Presidential Election Winner 2020

What will be the result of the 2020 United States presidential election?

Decision Logic

The candidate that wins 270+ Electoral College votes at the 2020 presidential election will be settled as winner. Any subsequent events will have no effect on the settlement of this market.
If no candidate wins 270+ Electoral College votes, we wait and the person chosen as President will be settled as winner.
If Trump or Biden are replaced as candidates for any reason before the election this proposition will be settled as a Republicans vs Democrats proposition.

If anyone hasn't had enough of betting on electoral outcomes, with the senate hanging in the balance in Georgia's run off elections in January, this bet is open for the three possible outcomes. Time modifiers in effect :)

@Avalon is making a wise choice. We all knew the risks when we chose to bet using a volatile currency; we are getting paid in THAT currency, not in USD. Betmoose could be subjected to legal action over premature payments; however, no court would ever entertain restitution over unrealized capital gains.

Don't worry about the price of bitcoin it will always be good money

Jan. 6, 2021: The House and Senate hold a joint session to count the electoral votes. If one ticket has received 270 or more electoral votes, the president of the Senate, currently Vice President Mike Pence, announces the results.

@Rocko The date you're looking for is 6 Jan, not 14 Dec.

For anyone concerned about the volatility of BTC: you can always short BTC on an exchange thus cancelling out the 'long' position you have holding it here. I know a number of exchanges offer it but I think Bitmex is the most popular one. Something to look into!
Rocko 7:47AM, Nov 10, 2020 UTC
@Avalon, that’s totally not right for a lot of people. First of all, the decision logic states clearly first to 270 EC votes and no subsequent event can affect it. I was okay to postpone it a bit and be fair but by Dec 14th this has to be resolved. That would as per the bet logic decision. You also have to consider BTC volatility for the winners. BTC has hit a top and might have a solid retracement coming up... not fair for the winners to keep waiting because some are hoping for a miracle.

Trump organised a sting op with watermarks on official ballots.
Avalon 1:25AM, Nov 10, 2020 UTC
The host has not put in an outcome on this prop yet. It would be fair to hold these props open until the EC votes are announced Jan 6th. Hopefully everything is naturally settled by then and we will have a clear, undisputed winner.

@JeezusChrist respect
Pnmuk 8:19PM, Nov 9, 2020 UTC
Good idea jesuschrist your logic is of the higher order of things
JeezusChrist 7:25PM, Nov 9, 2020 UTC
I bet Biden here but see no reason to call it at this point. We should all be happy that BM understands the importance of "getting it right" over calling it early. Yes, it is clear Biden will win & be president come January. However, Trump has the right to make his case known & heard. Recounts, legal disputes & evidence of fraud or the lack thereof will take place over the next month. Jan. 6, 2021: The electoral votes are counted and a winner announced. I say wait til 1/6/21- We all should.
Javan 6:41AM, Nov 9, 2020 UTC
@zargothrax you are misinformed. States have not cast their votes. This doesn't take place until dec. 14th. I understand where you are coming from.. but this is not your run of the mill election and the decision logic is very clear about electoral votes being won. At this point in time, technically no canidate has any electoral votes.
Pnmuk 6:29AM, Nov 9, 2020 UTC
News media projections are not official statements from the states, biden fans know the game is almost up trying to front run like the media
zargothrax 6:14AM, Nov 9, 2020 UTC
It's not "media speculation." The vote counts are official from the state. The only part the media plays is their estimates of how many votes in total there will be, but a bunch of secretaries of state have already called it. Also, faithless electors are quite rare and are almost always settled by faithless elector laws. I don't really mind waiting, but I think it's silly at this point. The First Lady and Jared Kushner have even urged Trump to concede. It might as well be over at this point.
Javan 5:40AM, Nov 9, 2020 UTC
@TeamColtra once the states have cast their votes, i suppose we will know.
Javan 5:38AM, Nov 9, 2020 UTC
@red-green 'the whole world' isn't the electoral college. We a want our ps5's. The decision logic is very clear.
Pnmuk 4:51AM, Nov 9, 2020 UTC
Electoral college count is still out all we have now is pure media speculation and representatives don't always vote for the one with more votes
TeamColtra 3:26AM, Nov 9, 2020 UTC
We shouldn't just confirm the decision because we want the money sooner.. but also i don't think we need to wait until January either. I think we can all agree that a middle ground can be acceptable. Final totals being confirmed in December seems like a fair time to me.
red-green 2:13AM, Nov 9, 2020 UTC
What about when the rest of the world calls it, do you think we can move on then or you wanna keep holding up our ps5's?
Javan 10:56PM, Nov 8, 2020 UTC
@jeb_bush I gotcha. You're right! No one technically has any electoral votes until they are cast and aproved in January.. Obviously in the case of trump throwing in the towel this becomes irrelevant..
jeb_bush 9:23PM, Nov 8, 2020 UTC
@Javan yeah I understand that. I was pointing out that deciding when we call a EC vote as won by a candidate. It could be considered as 1) When a state has been called for the canadidate 2) when the secreatry of state submits the official tallies and deciision (Dec 13th or there abouts), or 3) ultimately when the EC votes are actually cast on Jan 6th. To "win" an EC vote is not perfectly defined. As I say again, I'm happy with whatever reading BetMoose goes with.
Javan 7:06PM, Nov 8, 2020 UTC
@jeb_bush "I mean, what is it to "win" an EC vote?" Its the decision logic for this bet. There were lots of other bets that said nothing about EC votes.. those bets are currently resolved.
