What will be the result of the 2020 United States presidential election?
Decision Logic
The candidate that wins 270+ Electoral College votes at the 2020 presidential election will be settled as winner. Any subsequent events will have no effect on the settlement of this market.

If no candidate wins 270+ Electoral College votes, we wait and the person chosen as President will be settled as winner.
__
If Trump or Biden are replaced as candidates for any reason before the election this proposition will be settled as a Republicans vs Democrats proposition.

Yeah! You're almost with me now. So the president of the senate has a special authority as well.. if states are contested he holds the right to throw out electors from that state. Sure we don't technically have any contested states at the moment but we probably will by January 6th. That is probably going to make the difference. Also! Regardless of this.. its actually not the house that votes its congress. Senate objects, they need a second.. congress then votes (one vote per state) .

Ok but you also seem to forget to mention that both the house and the senate have to agree on changing the vote. So again, unless you think the democrat -lead house of representatives will agree to alter the ECV, what makes you think Trump will win?

The president of the senate (Mike Pence) will read out loud the votes as they are written giving congress the chance to object. If someone seconds an objection then the president of the senate will have a choice either to choose his own electors or pass the decision onto congress for a vote. Both of those alternative scenarios are believed to have a trump victory.. but time will tell.

The constitution says very clearly that the legislature holds special power to choose their own electors (regardless of state or federal law) in the case that they feel the peoples voice is not being heard. Section 1. It goes to outline the rest of the electoral process. On no later than Dec 14th all states will cast their ballots for their candidate and the votes will remain sealed until January 6th when congress and the president of the senate meet in a joint session to count the votes...

I don't know in what delusional world you think Trump can "win" without that, but regardless to win this bet you need Trump to win 270+ ECVs. Guys, I think this shouldn't be resolved until at least Jan 2022 so that we can let the legal process play out. I think we should give Trump *at least* a 1 year grace period to finally have his vindication and get sleepy Joe booted out of there. Which he will, it just takes time for the people to see.
