The bet was not clear. Decision logic said "bitcoin price at 12:01am Jan 1st 2018 price on coinbase.com", that´s why I asked admin to do the edit. Why did you not ask for clarification before making the bet?

It is indeed not clear that an early resolution is possible based on the use of the word 'AT' instead of 'before'. We will be re-opening the proposition shortly.

How do I escalate this? While I'm sure somebody somewhere paid too much for some BTC, it doesn't appear that the general market price ever cracked 5000, and it certainly didn't on coinbase. Correct me if I'm mistaken...

Where *on coinbase.com* do you see that it reached $5000? I can't find any evidence of this.

By jan 1st and it reach $5000 to purchase a coin on coinbase 5012.76 was what it went to

@thehumanfaucet That's not coinbase.com The Decision logic, which *you* wrote, explicitly states it will be based on the price listed on coinbase.com at at 12:01am Jan 1st 2018. There are two problems with this.
1. Coinbase doesn't show the price as ever having reached $5000
2. It is not yet 12:01am Jan 1st 2018.
You can't just change the decision logic after the fact.

If you scroll through the price on coinbase.com it doesn't show this it as having ever hit $5000: https://www.coinbase.com/dashboard
The highest price I can find on coinbase.com is $4980: https://imgur.com/a/CO7cn
