Will Courts Overturn the 2020 Presidential Election?

Will Courts Overturn the 2020 Presidential Election?

Joe Biden has been declared president elect by the media. He has won PA, it looks like he won GA, and other swing states. Do you think the courts will reverse vote counts to the point that Donald Trump remains president?

Decision Logic

Currently Joe Biden is the presumptive President-Elect. If through decisions by courts, the vote counts get changed to the degree that Donald Trump actually wins the presidency by flipping enough previously called states... then YES will win.

If Joe Biden remains the president elect then NO wins.

This will be called December 14th or when there is no further pathway for court cases to reverse the race.

It's inherently over because the wording of the DL says it's over and, you know, it's paid out. You linked to a Senate investigation not a court case. The only court cases available now are on PA and Georgia has been solidly won (3x) which makes this bet over.
888 7:12AM, Dec 22, 2020 UTC This bet is far from over!
TeamColtra 3:54AM, Dec 22, 2020 UTC
This bet did go to moderators and the discussion is below.
888 5:16PM, Dec 21, 2020 UTC
This bet was not over, and certainly not resolved. You screwed the betters by ending the bet early. This bet should most surely go to Betmoose for moderation for early termination.
TeamColtra 5:48PM, Dec 15, 2020 UTC
One final pitch: if you enjoyed this bet or think it was awful your feedback helps me with my next one. I'll give a random person $10 for filling this out. Thanks. Thank you to everyone who participated and won or lose i hope you had fun! Gamble responsibly, but let's do it again soon! I'm going to start more international politics bets soon.

@udohtu5182 : you are perfectly right. It's over. Thanks everybody for this beautiful bet. To those who have lost : sorry guys... don't take for granted what you read on alternative truth sites. It's better so, the alternative would have been riots and civil war. Peace and Love and take care everybody.
udohtu5182 7:53AM, Dec 15, 2020 UTC
Perhaps learn a lesson about populism *shrug*.
udohtu5182 7:52AM, Dec 15, 2020 UTC
If it's any consolation, it's not just you. Reports say he has gathered several (3?) hundredmillion dollars in donations and keeps gathering more to his "campaign defence" fund while 100% knowing that he has no chance to change the outcome. So where does that money go, huh? Probably not back to the donors after he's gone.
udohtu5182 7:47AM, Dec 15, 2020 UTC
You have been duped by a scam artist @Andyzzle, that's for sure. The scam artist is Trump. You should be angry at him and his cronies, not at TeamColtra, Avalon or this site. Trump is the one who scammed you into believing him, and I suppose, losing a lot of money in the process.
Andyzzle 6:44AM, Dec 15, 2020 UTC
@TeamColtra don't dance around the subject. Did you or did you not leave comments under this bet clearly leaving room for the decision to be called after the 14th? I took my Screenshots and i'll take this to bitcointalk and other crypto forums so others know not to waste their money on a site that's rigging bets against them. @Avalon read the earlier comments again and tell me how the 14th was a hard deadline when clearly there was talk about it extending?
freedom 6:14AM, Dec 15, 2020 UTC
It's done
TeamColtra 2:32AM, Dec 15, 2020 UTC
This bet has always had it's own Decision Logic that the other bet didn't have. I am running these bets as per the rules of the site, one of which says bets cannot continue when the results are already known. The problem with this is "known by whom", however, in this bet it's perfectly clear as the OR statement is clear. The big moose themself are here, so I will differ to them and avoid commenting further. This is the system at work: We have a third party to settle disputes.
TeamColtra 2:25AM, Dec 15, 2020 UTC
I've just commented on the other bet but I'll comment here as well: I want to run fair bets and hold to the decision logic that I have bound all betters to. I am learning from this experience and there are certainly things that I'm going to do different in the future. Certainly comments should have been either more clear or I should not participate in comments in future bets to avoid creating perceived conflict with the DL (which is the only thing that officially matters).
Andyzzle 11:00PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
@praine I know that's why we have mods. That's the source of my frustration because i don't regard the decision as neutral by any means. TeamColtra's comment history on this bet proves that the 14th wasn't a hard cap when the bet started and we put our money down in good faith. The other bet wasn't changed from the 14th to the 7th by mods and @Avalon made the right call - payouts halted until the 7th. The deadline change was made by TeamColtra though. Shady behavior x 2.
praine 10:51PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
By the way, it doesn't look like TeamColtra resolved the other bet, he would've likely left it unresolved 'til Jan. 6 anyways. It's just not completely right to malign him over a deadline change that he may not have made, or was going to decide upon.
praine 10:48PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
By resolving this one now, with no outstanding litigation to be done before the EC vote, and the other one at the bitter end.
praine 10:47PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
Ok, but that's why we have mods, and it would seem to me that they are following the decision logic for both bets.
Andyzzle 10:45PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
GOP Electors in 7 swing states cast their votes for Trump. Court is very much still on the table. TeamColtra isn't calling the other bet at the bitter end, he moved it up to today against his own decision logic that specofied Jan 7th. Click on my last link. Screenshot provided. He moved it up here too against his own comment history. The guy is making the rules up as he goes.
praine 10:27PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
Yeah, but there would have to be a case taken up for the 'further pathway' part of the decision logic to activate. People can file lawsuits 'til the cows come home and there actually *is* another bet that TeamColtra will resolve at the bitter end, and I see you are already aware of that fact.
Andyzzle 10:21PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
@praine there are still cases being filed, the electoral process isn't over until the 7th and the 14th was never a hard deadline that would invalidate the sentence after the "or" in the decision logic. Proven by TeamColtra's own comments.
praine 10:18PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
The Supreme Court didn't take any case, and the Dec. 14 deadline has passed. The "Likely won't hold out longer" was contingent on what he said afterwards, which didn't happen.
Andyzzle 10:18PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
@ Avalon Combine that with the screenshot i posted on the other bet of TeamColtra moving up the resolve date and ignoring his own decision logic saying it'll be called on the 7th and you have all the proof you need to see that the guy is fixing his own bets however it fits his narrative: This isn't what fair betting looks like. And you're supporting it.
Andyzzle 10:14PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
@Avalon further proof that this bet was never meant to be capped on the 14th - TeamColtra's own comments on page 2: - I'm going to hold out probably until the 14th anyway, because I think that's fair... but I likely wont hold this longer than the 14th. - If the Supreme Court takes this case I'll obviously extend it out for them to do their job. "Likely won't hold out longer" means the option was on the table from the beginning.
Andyzzle 9:58PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
Nobody is asking you to change the decision logic. The argument we're making is to extend it until both conditions specified are met and not cut B short because A already happened. Not when B offers a longer window of opportunity. Implying one has to happen before the other when that's not explicitly specified is just wrong and makes people not want to use this site anymore.
Andyzzle 9:53PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
There are also dueling electors in what, 5 or 6 states? These are things that will be battled out in court as it stands right now. The point is that this bet was about whether courts will change the votes to flip the election. The decision logic doesn't state that it has to happen by a specific deadline ("or, not "or earlier"). You're interpreting words that are 'implicit' which is just about the last thing you should be doing as a moderator of a betting site.
Pheenixm 9:42PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
@Avalon for instance:
Pheenixm 9:40PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
@Avalon there are several challenges still docketed in the Supreme Court
Avalon 9:28PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
@Andyzzle You are reading into something that isn't there. We interpret the holistic intent and the reality is there are no remaining legal challenges left. The only minimal chance Trump has is with Congress on Jan 6th but that's not a court challenge.
Andyzzle 8:20PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
@Avalon implied words are generally a very bad idea in bets where a single word can make all the difference. You of all people should know this better than anyone else here.
Andyzzle 8:19PM, Dec 14, 2020 UTC
@Avalon The schedule is an arbitrary schedule that doesn't take priority over the actual decision logic. Not unless the decision logic explicitly states it needs to happen by date X. I've lost bets like that on here and I didn't mind that at all. Honest loss. Just like i wouldn't mind if this was called 'no' on Jan 6th. Every bet has a deadline and that deadline is often moved if the decision logic leaves room for resolution, i.e. through an "or' statement with multiple conditions.
