Texas has been red for a long time! 2020 is an unusual year, turn out is up but enthusiasm is high on both sides. This bet is regarding the presidential vote in 2020 and the party for which the electoral college electors from Texas vote for President of the USA, whos term will begin in January 2021.

Given that there is a high likelihood of contentious outcomes in this election - this decision logic is set to resolve at the moment that the state of Texas casts its electoral college votes for a candidate, rather than election night. However early resolution is possible if there are no significant challenges to a widely accepted result, reference 3 major news networks: Fox, CNN, ABC.

Decision Logic

This bet will ultimately resolve on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the point when the electoral college electros from the state of Texas cast their votes in the joint session of congress to elect a president, unless a clear winner (per three major news networks: Fox, CNN, ABC) is apparent.

YES will be selected if the electors from the state of Texas cast their votes for Joe Biden (or any other democratic candidate)

NO will be selected in ALL OTHER CASES (including electors casting their votes for Donald Trump).

@Avalon I was hoping to resolve this early, but I didn't see that option when setting up the bet, so figured it would be in the UX after the bet was set: I'm happy to resolve this bet as "No" as there are no practical challenges affecting Texas. How can I resolve it early?

This is headed for early resolution - I'm going to wait until the entire presidency is called probably later today or tomorrow. But Texas itself seems uncontroversial and I see no claims of significant challenge. Thanks for betting everyone!
