A referendum on the political status of Puerto Rico will be held in Puerto Rico on June 11, 2017. Puerto Rico has been an unincorporated territory of the United States since 1898. The three options people will be able to vote for are"
Current Territorial Statue (remain a territory of the US)
Statehood (become a state of the US)
Independence/Free Association (become their own country)

The winning bracket will be the one corresponding to the largest vote share received in the referendum.

E.g. if current territorial status gets 40%, statehood gets 30%, and independence also 30%, territorial status resolves as Yes.
