Description

Every year we read about the "New Year's Baby", often born just minutes after midnight. It's the first baby of the year. Will this year's New Year's Baby be a BOY or a GIRL?

Decision Logic

On Jan 1, 2017 a Google Search will be conducted using the phrase "First baby of 2017". The top search result to provide a definitive answer will be used for this bet resolution.

If multiple babies make claim to the title (e.g., several babies are born at midnight), then the baby whose FIRST NAME is ALPHABETICALLY FIRST will be considered the winner. For simplicity, we will be using babies born in the EASTERN TIME ZONE of the U.S (e.g., New York City) only.

There should be a third TRANSGENDER option. Sometimes a baby's sex is ambiguous.
