Will the SEC approve the Winklevoss ETF

Three and a half years ago, the Winklevoss twins filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to offer a Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) on the BATS exchange.

The SEC has asked for multiple revisions and kept postponing, asking for more time to make a decision. There is a deadline and the SEC will run out of extensions --and must make a decision-- by March 11th, 2017.

The SEC has to make a ruling on March 11.

They will either approve (YES) or decline (NO) the application.

Payout will happen after the SEC announces a formal decision and publishes it on their website, or on March 13, whichever happens first.
