Will the South Korean President Be Removed?

The South Korean President Geun-Hye Park is on an impeachment trial as of January 14th, 2017. Most media expect that the constitutional court will make its decision before June 9th, the recommended due date specified in the law.

The future of her administration seems uncertain: the court may sit on the case until the current president's term ends. Or, the President may retain the office by winning the trial, get forcefully deposed from the office, or even may resign voluntarily. Some even speculate that she will commit suicide for bringing shame onto his father's name.

How do you bet?

Four possible outcomes:

"Come-back": the Court decides that the National Assembly’s Dec. 9 vote to impeach Ms. Park was NOT justified; the president is restored to her former office.

"Resignation": BEFORE the Constitutional Court makes its ruling on the impeachment trial, Ms. Park RESIGNS (or commit suicide).

"Booted Out": the Court decides that the National Assembly’s Dec. 9 vote to impeach Ms. Park WAS justified; the president is formally REMOVED from office.

"Delay": the Court IGNORES recommended deadline, June 9th, 2017, and refuse to rule on the case until June 10th;

All outcomes must be confirmed by NYT or The Washington POST before the June 10th issue, 2017.
