If more than half of Bitcoin's mining power activates and successfully carries out a hard fork which 7 days later is still the majority version of Bitcoin, this bet resolves as YES.

'carries out a hard fork' = the mining of a block incompatible with old versions.

'majority version of Bitcoin' = messured by market cap, hashing power and longest chain.

There have in fact been a few hard forks of Bitcoin in 2017, this result should read yes.
