Will there be a government shutdown on January 22?

Bet on if you think congress will pass a budget this week. The government is funded until January 19 and the 22nd is the next business day-will the government be open?

Congress must pass a spending bill that will allow the government to be running normally on January 22, 2018. Essential government functions, such as police and military, are never shutdown. If normal government departments are not open on Jan. 22 due to no budget, the government would be shutdown, which would be a YES resolution. If congress passes a spending bill, either short-term or long-term, that keeps the government open, this will resolve as NO.
