I do agree with you, and since the host was confused as to why it was resolved it probably was his intention - he just didn't flesh out the decision logic. Anyways because someone reported it, everyone's payouts got halted so we'll see what BetMoose has to say about it.

All bets made within one week... But I agree that it probably should have said, and was probably meant to say, all YES bets. That's sort of twisted to refund a wrong bet no matter when it was made.

In practice most people aren't going to bet No when a Yes is imminent, but proper logic for a bet such as this would be: "In case on an early YES, all YES bets made within one week before the outcome will be deleted." That prevents 'gaming the logic' that I described in the previous comment.

It is trivial to see that 'No's' being allowed to be refunded allows for underhanded tactics like betting 'No' at the last moment when everyone else is betting 'Yes', so that if bitcoin reverses course 1 cent away from the target, you benefit heavily off of a 'No' bet that would simply be refunded if 'Yes' did occur. To me that makes it completely unacceptable for this kind of bet to exist with 'No's' being refunded, but somehow that slipped under the radar. This should not have transpired.

I didn't realize this since I placed a 'No' bet way back in August, but it seems like the decision logic is actually flawed here. And the bet host (sirlanka) doesn't even seem to realize that his logic is flawed. Look closely - it says in case of an early yes, ALL bets will be refunded. So a strictly 'by the logic' reading would mean all 'Yes' and 'No's but I strongly disagree that these kinds of bets should even exist with 'No's' being allowed to be refunded with an early 'Yes' resolution.

Okay thanks for the information praine. Thank you for the congrats and congratulations to you for your hefty winnings. I bet against the steal standing for Biden back in 2021, sort of a once in a lifetime situation with a big payday but lost my ass--no thanks to Steve P. on Infowars (blah-blah). I am still sure that one day, and maybe soon, the 2020 steal will be acknowledged by all. But alas it won't bring back my BTC.
