Description

Will the home team make to the final game of the World Cup 2014? Will Brazil play in the Finals in front of their home crowd, or will it be sent packing and watch from home? Bet will resolve early if Brazil loses anytime between now and the final game.

Decision Logic

Choose 'YES' if you think Brazil will make it to the finals. Choose 'NO' if you think Brazil will not make it to the Final Game.

Note: We are not choosing the winner - only if Brazil will play in the Final Game to determine the champion of the World Cup 2014. The match will take place July 13th at 16:00 EST.

Betting was also open during the whole quarter final and after, so the bet being open during the first half of the semi does not change anything. If Brazil would have lost in the quarter people still would be able to bet "no". But yeah, I think it´s better to set the deadline earlier next time. Like you said " there's nothing wrong with this bet actually being here. No one is forced to bet on it"

Okay so - by my time (eastern), the deadline shows 5pm. Should it not have been set to 4pm? Otherwise you're having betting going on during the match. Chaku, is this what you intended? Seems against the spirit of the bet to wager based on an obvious outcome and unfair to the earlier bettors.

@wotf - Consider taking advantage of it by betting against donald then? Or just 'follow' this bet to see if the Yes volume increases. Your logic is accurate but there's nothing wrong with this bet actually being here. No one is forced to bet on it. If you have better information than others, consider yourself privileged to avoid the bad bets..
