An official press release valid and backed up by a governing body or academic authority, stating that life irrefutably exists, living away from the biosphere of Earth.

The basis of winning this bet is that any life form - whether simple microbes or advanced invaders - of extraterrestrial or extradimensional origin will be an undeniable fact by Jan 1,2017.

Decision Logic

Admission of ANY extraterrestrial life.
Must be verified by multiple news or government outlets.
Bet may be resolved early if ET invades, or NASA discovers microbes, or SETI finds some alien space signals before January 1st, 2017 12:00am UTC.
