Description

On July 30th President Trump hinted at delaying the election to curb mail in voter fraud. No matter the reason, COVID-19, voter fraud, a war with China, this bet will be counted as true if people are allowed to vote for president after November 3rd, 2020.

In the event the election is cancelled this bet will still be true.

Decision Logic

This bet will counted as true if more than 20% of states (10 states total) allow voting for president after November 3rd, 2020. If a single county in a state allows voting for president after Nov 3rd it will be counted as one of the 10 states needed to satisfy the criteria.

This was my first bet and would have been more specific in hindsight. The gist of it was that the election would have delayed in person voting not the random specifics of mail in ballots, absentee ballots etc. Bet resolves as no since I have heard of no place in the country where any exceptions have been made.

Would the logic include accepting mail in ballots after the election day as voting past election day? It could be that in person voting is still only allowed up till and in including election day but policy may change to allow counting of mail in ballots received after E-Day 2020.
