Description

The first round of the Russian presidential election occurs on March 18 2018, with a possible second round on April 8. Putin has not yet declared his intention to run for a second term, a decision that must be announced by January 6 2018. Will Putin be re-elected?

Decision Logic

If Putin wins the election, then the bet resolves as yes. The bet can resolve early if:
Putin wins in the first round, or Putin does not declare himself as a candidate by the January 6 deadline. If he does not run for re-election, the bet resolves as no.
The reporting will be made off of a consensus of news sources.

hmm, the probability of NO is about 24% here and it looks like it could've been easily brought up to 50%.

It appears that I put the wrong resolution date when creating this bet. I believe that I meant for the resolution date to be April 9 instead of March 9, after the second round. As of now, the election result is technically unknown.
