Will Reddit ban the Wall Street Bets subreddit?

We know how Reddit loves to shut down controversial subreddits. A few notable examples are: r/The_Donald (and variants thereof), r/Pizzagate, r/creepshots, r/Incels.

With the sharp increase of the $GME stock price attributed to the subreddit, r/wallstreetbets is absolutely demolishing professional financial institutions and causing one of the most notable short squeezes in internet history. If Reddit receives scrutiny from the SEC it is possible that they will adopt their go-to solution and outright ban the subreddit. The question is: will that happen?

If r/wallstreetbets is officially banned on March 1, 2021 12:00 AM UTC for any reason this bet will resolve as 'Yes'.
